Italian Cowhide Leather
Made from 100% Italian cowhide, this apron is incredibly soft, lightweight, and durable. It is water-repellent and provides excellent protection from heat and grease splashes at the grill.

Waxed Finish
The waxed leather surface allows the apron to age naturally, developing a unique patina over time — giving every piece its own distinct character.

Design & Style

The apron features a modern yet practical design.
Three spacious front pockets offer ample room for BBQ tools, while side loops are perfect for hanging utensils or a tea towel.

Material: Italian cowhide leather
Thickness: 1.3–1.5 mm

The leather features a waxed surface, which makes it water-repellent. Over time, this natural finish allows the apron to develop a beautiful patina, giving it a unique and characterful look.

For production, we use a strong thread from a German manufacturer and durable metal buckles from Portugal.

Reinigung und Pflege

Care Instructions
The leather apron can be easily wiped clean with a damp sponge.
For stubborn stains like dried sauce or dough, soften the area first with moisture, as repeated rubbing with rough, wet cloths may cause light abrasion to the waxed surface.

Not suitable for washing machines.

Grease and oil splashes are absorbed naturally into the leather without leaving stains.

Minor scratches or worn areas can be refreshed using a suitable leather care product.

Wischen statt Waschen

Wir verwenden unsere Schürzen selbst. In der Küche und am Grill sind sie unsere Begleiter und bekommen dabei jeden Tag ordentlich etwas ab. Von heißen Fettspritzern über Wasser beim Abwasch bis hin zu Soße und Teig ist alles dabei - und genau so schnell wieder weg.

Unsere Schürze kann man einfach mit einem Schwammtuch abwischen, und sie sieht aus wie vorher.

Leicht und Weich

Lederschürzen sind praktisch, aber oft schwer. Unsere Schürze wiegt nur 700 g und ist dadurch beim längeren Tragen angenehm leicht. Wir setzen auf ungewöhnlich weiches, echtes Nappa-Leder, ganz ohne Kunststoff.

Unser Leder wird nach eigenem Rezept unter strengen Umweltauflagen in Italien gegerbt, gewachst und geölt.

Langlebig

Eine ROHLEDER-Lederschürze ist dazu gemacht, vererbt zu werden. Wo Stoffschürzen dem Ansturm von Fett und Flüssigkeit nicht gewachsen sind, besteht unsere Schürze problemlos.

Die sechsfach vernähten Ecken, vernieteten Gurte und gefütterten Taschen tun ihr Übriges, um eine wirklich gute, robuste Lederschürze zu schaffen.

Our Story Began with Leather BBQ Aprons – ROHLEDER’s First Product
As a former tanner and leather technician in the automotive industry, I decided to leave behind synthetic-coated leather and turn to natural leather instead.

The inspiration struck when I came across leather aprons in a department store that felt far too stiff and uncomfortable. So, I set out to develop my own BBQ aprons. Thanks to my background, I had access to a wide range of leathers and worked with an Italian tannery to create a soft, lightweight, and supple leather ideal for everyday use.

Our leather is waxed only, preserving its natural character while making it water-repellent. One of my top priorities was ensuring our aprons were made entirely in Europe. Depending on the product, production takes place in Austria, Hungary, Poland, or Portugal – supporting sustainability, regional supply chains, and premium quality with short transport routes.

We quickly noticed growing interest in personalised products, so we invested in a hot-stamping machine. This allows us to offer customisation on our leather aprons with initials, names, or logos.
